When I bough my H-2, the centre stand had been removed, apparently because it was bent. I straightened it out and had it powder coated to match the frame. When I went to install it as just abut the last step I found that there was no lug to attach the spring to....Now What?
Has anybody come up with a fix for a situation like this? I don't want to remove the engine just to have a lug welded on. Naturally I should have looked first but it is too late for that.

ifyou want a good work you have no other choose that strip again the bike and give the frame to be welding with new lugs. This supposes also you have an other frame to see how they are and to tzake the sizes.
But you can ride w/o central stand, my H2A has a central side bent still on the bike but haven't used it since years

I've been riding bikes for 48 years (very tired), but a centre-stand is the singularly most useless piece of equipment ever fitted to a motor-cycle.....Oh, they're useful for photographic purposes....! (the bike, not the stand!!) (need an emo. for cheesy grin!)

It is pretty handy to put the bike up the centre to change the wheels but I can do that by removing the left side exhaust. I had to do that with my Suzuki (same old, same old) To weld another lug is not only time consuming but may alter, read reduce, the frame's strength. Who knows? It may have been heat treated after it was made. Not likely but . .
