I find the original incandescent bulbs to be much too dim.
The single LED BA9S replacements from Superbright were better but not great.
These 5 LED units work the best; there might be room for a 9 LED tower but have not experimented yet
I got 4 of these for $4.50 delivered:

That's a great fix, too bad I'm afraid to ride at night.

Same here GUTS, not a fan of riding at night around here.
Too many furry animals that run across the road at night.
Deer can cause major problems.
Killed a guy who I knew locally 3 years ago.

I do as little night riding as I can.

We've got some wooded areas that call for slowing down at night.
Ironically I was coming to a stop about 5 years ago on a 2 lane road in a developed area and a deer ran into my car!
Frekin forest rats.

I'm hoping this new system will frighten them away by pure tackiness:

Dang Johnny
I've been waiting and waiting for all the possible "chopper in the hood" commentaries.

I asked a cop who said they can pull you over for colored lights in MD but white or amber are used as markers on the sides of trucks and he had no problem with it.
It doesn't distract drivers with flashing colored lights but just adds to the visibility making me a model citizen (on an H2)

Thanks for the tip Jim. I too had been irritated at how dim my dash lights are. LEDs ordered. I can't wait to plug them in!

On the subject of the decorative engine LEDs................I have a lighting system that can change the light colors too and while I was afraid to run them on the city streets, never mind the highway with the state cops, I was wondering if white non-flashing would be acceptable to most cops in my area....guess I'll find out soon...................
