Are there areas that are prone to rust or internal damage? I read a few arrticles and they mentioned the pipes are not good candidates for re-chromeing and the potential of scrap is high. These appear to be solid just not clean chrome. Thoughts, I have a good plating shop but if there is a high potential to lose the OE pipes I'll live with the imperfections. Thanks for your feedback.

The insides of the pipes would have to be cleaned out, thoroughly.

I've heard of some shops that fill the pipes with water and plug the ends, which keeps all the gunk inside while they plate them. Other shops just refuse the work altogether.

While I was there asking questions getting an idea of cost and I mentioned I would clean prior to drop off and they said they would clean so they know what's going in their tanks. So, we'll see.
