Hi guys. I just recently acquired two NOS CDI boxes that were not in factory boxes. I was told they were both the 21120-004 "B" boxes for early H1. I am suspicious that one or both could be for A1/A7 triples. The two boxes look identical with the exception of the ID mounting plates. The plates are riveted on in opposite directions. One box has white goop surrounding the two black dots and one is dark grey. They both have "JCN-C B" on the ID plate. But in the second ID plate stamping area, one box shows "C-7" and the other shows "8829".

So I am at a standstill until I science this out. How do I determine a H1 box from a A1/A7 box? They both look the same to me...

Thank you very much for your time.

The A1/A7 "B" unit, which is the larger of the two, with two transistors under black rubber covers, has a three-pin rubber connector to connect to the two coils and coil ground. The H1 version has a 2-pin rubber connector to go to one coil and coil ground.

The A1/A7 box can be made to work on the H1.
