Hey guys, my first post here.

This is the bike I built last winter. I took a nice, fairly fast and reliable RZ we raced the year before and started all over like an idiot :? . Built a 4mm stroker motor, case matched the cylinders and cleaned up the ports. Designed and built the pipes, installed 32mm TMs and new billet manifold. Wiseco 795 series pistons and modified domes in a Coolhead. installed a TZR250 front end and rear wheel so we could mount 17" 125gp slicks, it has a zeel iggy, nology coil, a bunch of other little things done to it. Due to family and work issues we only had it running well for the last 2 race days of the season but we managed to cut over 4.5 seconds off our best lap time of the previous year. Hoping to get it on the dyno soon.

Welcome cookie! Very nice RZ.

It's tuff to even get a second off a lap, so the bike must be working a lot better than what you were running before, or before you reworked it.

Dyno chart would be cool!

+1 on the use of Irwin clamps during build. :D I love 'em.

Nice looking bike cookie.

Thanks! It's making WAY more power in the stroker configuration according to the rider, but the biggest difference is the suspension changes. When I originally put the 17s on, first weekend out, we had pretty serious ground clearance problems. I scratched my head a bit and did some fairly radical cutting and welding of dogbones and top triple clamp to regain clearance. I think there's more time to find in actually setting the damned suspension up now ;) . There's power to find in the motor too, according to the plugs, and we have not optimized the ignition yet either. Looking forward to getting it on the dyno and getting some baseline suspension done before next season. I'll definitely post up the dyno results.

Went to the dyno this morning. Would have liked to see bigger numbers but who wouldn't?

First run, please ignore the jagged graph, we didn't delete the warm up runs and it affected the display:

This ^ was the result of my trackside tuning last race day (the only time the bike had been run)

After some jetting and a little playing with the ignition:

Only gained about 2rwhp over my plug reading in the pits.

We didn't end up with the perfect jetting (we think). A jet sheared off as I screwed it in. Piece of crap broke at the threads, and I didn't have any more that size, nor did the dyno guy.

The idea was to get a baseline, we had limited time today, but will go back and try a few more things. This was on an eddy current dyno, a Factory Pro EC997. Probably would have have been mid 60s on a Dynojet and about a bajillion on one of those Bosch thingummys LOL.

Hope you can read this stuff, no scanner at home. Comments welcome.
