Spec II 30s and custom throttle cable have arrived. The bellmouths are quite large for 30 mm carbs. I am still hacking like a tuberculosis ward. I am considering a trip to the vet, but I have farm work to do....

They're "normal" 30s, as opposed to the small bodied ones that H2s came with. Those should be the same body size as VM34s, for example.

Avons arrived 2 days after they were ordered if memory serves.

On a side note. 2 hours in urgent care yesterday for what was diagnosed as a severe upper respiratory virus. So no wrenching and only essential farm tasks will be performed today. Steroids, antibiotics in case of an infection the bloodwork didnt catch and bed rest for today. I am way better today than yesterday.

Get well, Tim. Then resume regular activities. Well, how strenuous could mounting tires be?

:P

I pay my local shop $25 apiece to mount and balance mine. It is money well spent. I hate wrestling them....

I agree, it ain't worth the effort trying to get them on. Heck I can't even get them off.

Side note, Tim. My RZ's front wheel was crazy out of balance. When I got it I notice there was a big hand full of weights on the front. The local shop's balance's mandrel was too large for the front wheel when I had them to install my BT45's. I installed Dyna Beads but the front was so bad out it would shake the front end. I had to pull the wheel and remove the tire. I used a static balance fixture and automotive adhesive wheel weights to do a static balance on the wheel. I installed the weights on the inside of the wheel. After the tire was put back on we installed a bag of Beads for good measure. That fixed the balance issue and I don't have a bunch of wheel weights showing.

$25 to mount a tyre... !! I've always had it done free with the purchase of a new tyre. My regular guy does a 15 minute ride in/ride out service for no cost, including a balance!
