Tim, on my RD 2 bangers I run the Yboot with K&N filter. I understand the Yboot and filter balances the carbs and make them easier to tune than separate air intakes. I have never run pod filters myself to compare the difference and just know what I've read on the Internet. But we all know the Internet is never wrong. Mark H what is your experience and preference for nonstick air tracks for the AC RD's?

Mark is running Unis on his hybrid clamped to the carbs. I tuned a friends 75 several weeks back and it had good linear carburation with Unis and Banshee intakes with the crossover, which I have for this bike. We will see how it goes. Thanks for the advice, John.

Copy that Tim. When it warms some here and I get my attitude correct I have new fork springs, rear shocks, BT45's, and swing arm bushings to install into my 73. I rode it across the Cherohala last year and it did just fine.

Since this seems to be the girlie bike thread (RD350's that is) here is my update.

She was a little tired in the corners at Deals Gap last year so here goes a suspension upgrade.

Well I got started taking off parts and I couldn't stop. Reminds me of when I use to have sex :D

The more parts I took off the more dirt, grime, and rust I found.

john... again, you are thinking of kawasakis...

in all honesty, rd frames are very rarely rusted nearly as bad as kaw frames. i m not sure why. frame paint was better? dunno.
lookin good there !^

RUSTASAKIS

There really is not much rust on the frame except behind the steering head where they didn't get much paint and the two stroke oil couldn't get to. Most of the rust is on the fasteners and the back side of the chrome parts.

When I rebuilt my Daytona the swing arm bushings were non-metal like nylon or something and worn so I replaced them with the bronze bushings. The RD350 swing arm had side to side play so I ordered bronze bushing the fix it but when I took the swing off yesterday it has hardened metal bushings and have no wear. I think all I really need to do is torque the swing arm nut more. Is this an upgraded bushing I have or was that standard on the 350's?

Spaghetti is the word........

And do I remember correctly, that RZ kickstand mounts used to break off and take a chunk of frame with them? :eh:

only if some dope is cranking on the kicker while its on the sidestand and the other foot is on the LH peg. any bike will fail under that abuse eventually.

um, soem had metal to metal bushings on rd's. ive used those, they work fine.
